| You will be given homework to do in between visits. Once you have finished your course of treatments we also train you in stretching and strengthening exercises that stabilize your spine. Patients who have work related injuries will be given ergonomic training and work hardening exercises that will prevent a repeat of the same injuries. |

| Therapy |
| Under the supervision of Dr. Ross, we may utilize several different types of therapy equipment. Focus is placed on Back School, strengthening, stretching and rehab programs. You will be supplied with take home training packets, including resistance tubing for building up weak or damaged tissue. Ultrasound, Electrical Stimulation, traction and Hot Cold packs are also used. |
| Leander Table (for chronic low back pain) |
| A new table design, licensed with the FDA, from an old technique that tractions the low back and then
flexes it at a specific joint or disc. We had considered using traction but decided the Flexion Distraction table
was more appropriate. This table is similar to the traction table but
includes flexion as well as traction allowing even greater decrease s in
pressure over the pinched and irritated nerves.
The table can isolate lumbar discs that have herniated (leaked) compressing nerve roots that may cause radiating pain as far down as the feet. The table mechanism can also reduce tightness and stiffness in joints and degenerated discs. Our database indicates an 80% patient satisfaction with this technique. |
| Decompression Disc Therapy |
| We now offer Decompression disc therapy for both neck and low back pain. This technology is safe and pain free and has power to be 81% effective in reducing the pain, numbness and weakness associated with herniated disc and spine joint disease in both neck and low back. |
| Therapeutic Massage |
| Massage therapy is a good compliment to Chiropractic, especially when delivered in a clinical environment. Our clinic offers therapeutic massage. Many insurance plans will cover massage therapy if recommended by a treating physician, such as Dr. Ross. |
